Most of you know that I plan on leaving for my mission this summer. I'll be gone for 2 years, I don't know where yet, and unable to facebook/text message/etc. Hopefully I'll be able to get emails out to everyone and I'll still have good old snail mail.
Say whatever you want here, support, questions, disagreement, etc. or ask/talk to me in person.

Well you know how I feel about it. I think the timing is the most stupidest thing ever. I understand the mentality of "you" might now do it if you prolong it...but if you are devout as you are, then why not wait? But I know your mind is made up. I may not agree with Mormons, but I have to say because of you I've not disowned them completely. I wish you'd stay, but I know you have to live your life. <3
lunchbox, if everyone who doesn't accept our religion was as open-minded and civil as you are I would be ecstatic.
Fwiw, the timing is perfect. Think about it: If it were any later (like after graduation), it would interfere with job opportunities and everything else that comes with life after college.
It was one of the hardest yet most growth-producing experiences of my life (more so than Harvard, even), and I wouldn't change it for the world. It also gave me an understanding of and love for all kinds of people that would have been very difficult to obtain otherwise.
Again, fwiw, if you have a chance to see him after he gets back, I think your impression will be different than it is now.
Ryan! I'm way excited for you! Just keep me updated!... (if you don't.. you're in trouble buddy!) You basically know my plans... no mish for me as far as I can see. Crazy to think though if I did we'd go out about the same time!
Holy crap already??!! Well I guess you will be appx halfway through college... I guess I just don't consider us to be that old. It's always seemed like something that was, you know, a long time from now. We'll have to hang out a few times before you go.
This is exciting though! I hope you get to go someplace cool!
